Jamie Muchall

Jamie Muchall is the Chief Operating Officer at BHC.

With over 15 years’ experience in the affordable housing and property development sectors, he is interested in collaborative housing policy solutions, creation of new programs and research for non-profit and residential property applications.

Jamie is passionate about building communities and creating solutions and innovative ideas to solve the problems that beset our communities. Prior to BHC, Jamie held executive and senior management roles at some of Australia’s largest community housing providers in strategic, operational and development roles. Jamie is the Jurisdictional Director for Qld at the Australasian Housing Institute and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Sue Pope

Sue Pope is the Chief Executive Officer of Common Ground Queensland, a Tier 2 community housing provider.

Common Ground Queensland is dedicated to delivering supportive housing solutions for Queensland’s most vulnerable populations. With over two decades of executive experience across the non-profit housing, health, and community sectors, Sue has led transformative initiatives in policy, advocacy, and frontline service delivery. 

Her cross-sector expertise spans supportive housing, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, primary healthcare, family and parenting support, and community capacity building. A champion of person-centred system and service design, Sue is deeply committed to co-design principles, ensuring the voices of those with lived experience drive quality improvement and innovation in housing and human services. 

Through her leadership, Common Ground Queensland continues to shape a more inclusive, responsive, and compassionate housing landscape. 

Changyi Liu

Changyi is the Chief Financial Officer at YUMBA-META Ltd a Tier 2 provider in Townsville.

A qualified Chartered Accountant and member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants, Changyi previously spent seven years with one of North Queensland’s largest accounting firms.

Born in China, Changyi holds both a Bachelor of Business majoring in Human Resource Management and a Master of Professional Accounting from James Cook University.

In 2022, he became principal of Housing Wise Realty, Townsville’s first not-for-profit real estate company and subsidiary of YUMBA-META Ltd

Jessica (Jess) Knott

Jess is an Executive Manager – Development with Coast2Bay Housing a Tier 1 provider based at the Sunshine Coast.

With close to 20 years’ experience working for large corporations, Government and not-for-profit organisations, Jess holds extensive knowledge and skills in residential property development, finance, project management, contracts management and procurement. Skilled at leading high performing multi-disciplinary teams, Jess has led the Coast2Bay Development Team since 2021 and has been instrumental in delivering various Government funded projects and securing the sustainable growth of the organisation into the future. 

Prior to joining the Community Housing sector, Jess held various development roles with Stockland, Australia’s largest diversified property group, delivering master planned and medium density residential projects in Queensland and Western Australia. Jess is passionate about regional economic development and the provision of sustainable, diverse housing choices.

Aidan Lang

Aidan is the CEO of Access Community Housing, a Tier 1 provider based in Cairns.

He brings a regional Queensland perspective to community housing leadership and is committed to sector sustainability, strong governance and effective partnerships. 

Aidan is a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA) with a background in accounting and financial management, holds an MBA, and has completed the AICD Company Directors Course. He also serves on several Cairns-based not-for-profit boards across housing and homelessness, community legal services, and disability, bringing a broad regional perspective to his work.

Jane West

Jane is an experienced housing professional, having spent the majority of her career in social housing in the UK and in Australia. Prior to her recent appointment to the CEO role at Bric, she spent four years as Executive Manager Housing Services, and Chief Operations Officer. Prior to joining Bric, she headed up business development at Q Shelter and worked in a variety of policy roles in CHPs and the Department of Housing. In the UK, Jane held a Senior Executive role with a large housing association in London, worked extensively in the field of supported housing, and on community-led housing estate regeneration projects.

Kristan Conlon

Kristan has over 20 years’ experience in property law. She is the Deputy Chair of yourtown, is the Vice President of Committee for Brisbane and she sits on committees for The Property Council and the Queensland Law Society.

Alicia Follent

Alicia has more than 15 years’ experience in the community housing sector working throughout Queensland. Previously, Alicia has been the General Manager of Tier-1 housing provider, Churches of Christ and has served on the Boards of other community housing peak organisations. Alicia’s work focusses on state and federal funding initiative delivery into Queensland as well as the development of strategic partnerships.
